Quick answers

Why can't it find my username?

Check that you chose the right site: a Lichess username isn't found on Chess.com, or the other way round. Use the name shown on your public profile, not your email address.

Why is Play greyed out?

Stockfish is still scoring the first 10 moves of your games. Play turns on when that's done; after it, Stockfish goes on to the first 20 moves, then whole games.

How does a round end?

A mistake or a blunder, a move that gives away a pawn or more, fails, even if it's the move you played then. A move you've played there before keeps the game going. A move you've never played there is set against the one you played in that game: better wins, about the same ties, worse fails. Then you can try again, play the computer from there, or go on to the next round.

Why does it call my gambit a mistake?

Stockfish, at depth 12, calls a move that gives away a pawn or more a mistake, even a gambit you play on purpose. This version has no way yet to mark a move as one you mean to play, so that line will keep failing.

How do I delete my data?

On iPhone, Change Player removes your games and rounds, and deleting the app removes everything; nothing is kept anywhere else. On the web, write to [email protected] with your page's address and we'll delete it.
